Global Snatches Top Spot, Kaya Runs Riot Against Pasargad

In the earlier match, Kaya ran riot against Pasargad, with a UFL record eight different goal scorers contributing to the nine-goal demolition. Masa Omura headed in the opener in the very first minute of the match, and the third placed side never looked back. Kenshiro Daniels, Anton Del Rosario, OJ Porteria added a goal each in the first half. A brace from Christian Ayew, and goals from Richard Greer and Janrick Soriano wrapped up the one-sided affair.

“It gives all those players (goal scorers) a bit of confidence. In the dressing room before the game, I told Christian (Ayew) that he would get a double today. So he’s calling me Prophet David now, hopefully I can make more predictions like that in the future for him,” said Kaya coach David Perkovic. “We’re able to hold the line a lot easier now up top with big Pablo (Rodriguez) up front, so it adds a little bit of a different dimension to our game. He’s definitely a presence up there. He’s been a valuable acquisition to the team.”

With the win Kaya is seven points off the top spot with 27 points in 14 matches. Pasargad remains rooted to the foot of the 1st Division table with only four points in 12 games.
